Most Xero issues fall into one of the cases below. If none of these resolve it, contact us at support@ledgitify.com or via the contact page.
This means Ledgitify’s access to Xero was revoked or expired, usually because the app was disconnected on the Xero side, or the person who connected it left the Xero organisation. Open Settings → Xero and choose Connect Xero organisation to reconnect. Your existing projects and allocations are unaffected, and the next sync backfills anything missed.
Open Settings → Sync history to see the exact error for that run. Common causes:
  • A temporary Xero outage or rate limit. Ledgitify retries automatically; try Sync now again shortly.
  • The connection was revoked. See the reconnect steps above.
A single failing record type doesn’t stop the others from syncing, and the error is recorded against that run so you can see what happened.
Check these, in order:
  1. Is it reconciled in Xero? Ledgitify only pulls authorised / reconciled items. An unreconciled bank line won’t appear until you reconcile it in Xero.
  2. Is it within the sync horizon? Ledgitify syncs from your oldest active project’s start date. If the transaction predates that, add or adjust a project so its start date covers the period, then sync.
  3. Run a full resync. From Settings → Xero, choose Full resync to re-scan history (available once per hour).
This happens when a transaction you’d already allocated was later edited, voided, or deleted in Xero. Ledgitify flags it rather than silently changing your report. Open it in the workspace, check the amount and your allocation, and re-allocate or exclude as appropriate.
Payroll is a future feature and is not requested by default, so payroll transactions are not pulled unless payroll has been separately enabled and approved. This is expected.
Automatic nightly syncing is a Professional and Unlimited feature. On the Starter plan you sync on demand with Sync now. You can always trigger a manual sync regardless of plan.
